TAG | The Nintendo Book Tag

Hello everyone 🙂

Today I’m bringing you The Nintendo Book Tag! I was tagged by Green @ Green Onion Blog and I’ve been wanting to answer to this tag for quite some time.

I was a huge fan of Nintendo when I was younger, I got my very first one when I was five and I used to take that thing with me everywhere! I always had the old model, and when I went to primary school all my classmates already had the new one, but although everyone looked at me in surprise, I didn’t care, because mine was different from everyone else and I loved it haha My first and favorite game was Nintendogs, and I played with that thing for ages! Now I’m more focused on other things, like books, blogging and school, but sometimes I like to play with the Wii my mom got my brother two christmas ago. What about you? 😀

NES (Nintendo Entertainment System): A classic you want to read

18300267

Shame on me! Nope, I haven’t read (yet) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, but it’s certainly a classic that I want to get around to. I finally have this beauty at home, after seeing so many people talking good things about it. Have you read it? What did you think about it? 😀

SNES (Super Nintendo): A sequel you liked more than the first (can be a second book in a series)

6313334

It was very hard to get an answer for this one! I hardly ever prefer sequels over first books – or I don’t like the sequel or I think it was equally entertaining as the previous book. But New Moon by Stephenie Meyer is my favorite of all Twilight books , so it’s obvious I liked it better than the first book. 😛

Nintendo 64: A book that revolutionized the way you look at the world

8187515

I feel like I always answer this type of question with the same books, so this time I’m answering differently! A Lua de Joana (something like Joana’s Moon in english) by Maria Teresa Maia Gonzalez was the first book I read that changed my way of  thinking about the world outside. Joana is a teenager that lost her best friend, Marta, due to overdose on drugs, but she doesn’t understand how is that possible, since Marta was a great girl, a good student and a perfect daughter. So Joana, along with Marta’s older brother, tries to understand her late best friend, remaking her steps. This book showed me how easily someone is dragged into drugs, and it was one of my favorite books when I was younger!

Gamecube: A popular book that did not go over so well with you

22436091

Well, I’m going with Paper Towns by John Green, but honestly, every book of his didn’t live up to my expectations! Everyone talks about his books, but they’re just not for me. I only own one, that is Looking for Alaska, and I think that’s the one I liked best (although I read it in portuguese and I wish I’d have read it in english, because some quotes in english look way better than translated!!). I enjoyed Paper Towns, but I didn’t understand the hype around it. Same goes for The Fault in Our Stars!

Wii: A new favorite book

17162156

I thought that Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children was fantastic and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! (review)

Nintendo Power: Favorite graphic novel series or a series you want to start

19539419

I’m not really into graphic novels but I’d like to try some. I think I have like three on my wishlist, but the one I’m most excited to read is Black Widow: Finely Woven Thread  because I’ve heard amazing things about it and because Black Widow is life hahaha ❤

Super Mario: A character that you’d love to squish like a Goomba

17832311

Definitely, half of the characters in The Casual Vacancy! I just can’t pick one, they’re all equally immature (review).

Zelda: A newer fantasy that you consider to be a modern classic

3484606

I hate this feeling of repetition, but I’ll go with Harry Potter. It’s the only fantasy series I remember reading that I consider a modern classic.

Samas-Aran: Favorite sci-fi novel or one you want to read

11235712

Cinder has been on my wishlist since forever! I love retellings and The Lunar Chronicles looks amazing! Have you read it?

Pokemon: Book editions that you want to collect

Every Puffin in Bloom editions!! They look adorable, and this is a great excuse to start buying more classics 😛

Donkey Kong: A book with original characters

17162156

Thanks to this question, I came to the realisation that I need to read more diverse books, so I’ll answer again with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, because everything else I can remember of isn’t very “original”.

Nintendo Fandom: Favorite Nintendo game(s) or game

just-dance

Just Dance and Mario Kart were always my favorites to play and still are. Unfortunately, I don’t use my Wii as much I’d like to, I think the last time I played was on my birthday (??? – THAT WAS IN MARCH, GUYS, MARCH) but this Tag made me want to spend an entire afternoon playing! Let’s see if I can find the time 😛

Now I tag …
